Malaysia’s most controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin will have his statement recorded by the Sentul district police today over a statutory declaration he made regarding the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.
Raja Petra’s wife, Marina Lee Abdullah, told Malaysiakini that her husband received a call from the police this morning and confirmed that her husband would be at the Sentul district police station at 5.30pm today.
“He would be in the company of a lawyer, but we haven’t decided on one yet,” said Marina.

Raja Petra affirmed a sworn statement that three individuals, including the Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor, were at the crime scene where Altantuya was murdered.
Other than Rosmah, Raja Petra’a two-page statutory declaration filed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on June 18 had also mentioned other prominent individuals such as Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin.
Khairy and Rosmah are believed to have already had their statements recorded by the police regarding Raja Petra’s allegations.
Thus far, both Najib and Rosmah have denied Raja Petra’s claims but both have chosen not to sue to the popular blogger.
According to Najib, Raja Petra’s assertion of his wife’s involvement were “total lies, fabrication and total garbage”.
